I design and build products for a living. Outside work, I dance salsa, rearrange rooms, travel when I can, and spend a lot of time at home with my dog. I’m curious about how people find their way, figure things out, and make themselves comfortable.

I notice how people find their way.
I’m not trying to turn every hobby into a design lesson. But they have changed what I notice: when someone hesitates, what helps them feel comfortable, and when a little direction is enough.
Product work
If people have to remember every step, the product is not doing enough.
Salsa
A good lead gives direction without taking over.
Interior spaces
Move a chair and the whole room changes.
Travel
It is a good reminder of what it feels like to need directions.
Why I dance
Salsa taught me how to lead without taking over.
You have to be clear, pay attention, and leave room for the other person. I love the improvisation, but I love the trust underneath it even more. I try to bring that same balance to a product team.
